Kentwell Hall is a romantic, moated Tudor manor, built in the early 16th century by the Clopton family. The manor presents a wonderful sight; its open courtyard facing onto a moat, and its two wings reaching almost to the waters edge, is a picturesque scene. On your visit there are a variety of estate buildings to visit that flank the house, including a bake house, dairy, brew house, and a part timbered Moat House dating to the turn of the 16th century. Not only this but there is also extensive grounds surrounding Kentwell which feature box and yew topiary, a Camera Obscura (an old Gazebo on the corner of the moat), a walled garden laid out in 17th century style, and enjoyable woodland walks. Please note that from time to time during the year Kentwell holds special event days such as the Tudor re-creation or Christmas events and if you want to use your voucher for these then you will be required to pay a supplement fee and book in advance. Therefore please refer to the website or call before your visit to check whether or not it is a special event day when you wish to visit and to check opening times. There is no need to book if it is not a special event. All you need to do is turn up on the day with your voucher and exchange this for your tickets at the entrance on the day.
