The pad and grass runway was purpose-built by the helicopter school along with classrooms hangars an operations room and flight planning room too. You're likely to see a fair few different choppers here when you come as they maintain them for private owners and welcome visiting helicopters too.What makes these experiences excellent value for money is that fact that each lesson starts with an extensive ground briefing. Lasting around 30 minutes you will learn about the principles of flight have a look around the helicopter and get shown the controls - and all this before you've even get airborne.Once comfortable your helicopter lesson over Aberdeen starts proper. Listen to the whirr of the motors watch the pilot complete his pre-flight checks and then get ready for the amazing sensation of lifting gently off and into the air. Soon after you will be handed the controls of the chopper one at a time for height speed and direction as well as having a go at hovering - and don't worry it's a dual-controlled model you'll be flying!
