This tea room is just a pebble's throw from the seafront on one of the main shopping streets. There's a terraced area outside so you can do some serious people watching or choose from the two distinct seating areas inside - perfect if it's one of those onshore wind days.And you might be in the middle of the high street but as soon as you step inside you're be instantly transported into a kind of bygone age with the classical music playing the elegant tablecloths and the classic heritage colours on the walls complete with artwork and dado rails. The centre pieces of the room have to be the three huge chandeliers that cast a superb light over the whole salon.The classic look and feel is completed with the Royal Albert bone china tea service - enough to make you want to spend all afternoon just relaxing and catching up with friends and family here in Weston. As for the menu it's just what you'd expect from a quintessentially English traditional tea roomsBut before you tuck into your delightful three-tiers of goodies your server will ask you what three fillings you'd like in your dainty sandwiches (a nice little touch that's unique to this afternoon tea in Weston Super Mare!) as well as asking you to choose your hot drink from a vast selection. The coffee menu is barista-style so the Americanos Cappucinos and Lattes all feature whilst the tea is of the leaf kind so you'll be making use of the strainer provided for you.Seeing as this is Somerset the scones are served with lashings of lovely jam and cream. Not that horrible aerosol stuff of course we're talking freshly whipped gorgeously thick gooey cream. Very nice. Round it all off with a few little cake delights and you've got yourself a fine afternoon tea here at Finest Blend.We're offering standard afternoon tea in Weston-Super-Mare a Premium option and the Sparkling option too. If you upgrade to the Premium you'll be indulged with extra large superbly crumbly scones and a luxury cake selection including eclairs and macaroons too. For those who want the Sparkle your teatime selection is served alongside a glass of bubbles.
